Benefits and goals of At-Large involvement

For me the goal of ICANN must be the ultimate goal of Internet. What is
Internet? A mass media, than to difference of the previous mass media, has
the large merit of interactive being. As DPF has written:
"For ICANN the benefits are that it gains a large dose of credibility by
having at large members who elect some of the Board.  It lessens the
possibility that ISPs and others may decide not to recognise the ICANN/DOC
root servers.  It also lessens the likelihood of interference by Governments
and Parliaments around the world if ICANN is seen to not be a closed elite
but open to global participation and influence."
Therefore ICANN must find the way to involve the greater number of possible
persons in a position to communicating, in order to make that the
difficulties is mainly of two types:
1) the language, in fact for this question:

I answer that in the first place I wait to understand, the ideas and the
values of the candidates. And sure I do not answer like DPF: " the would
firstly like to retain my existing rights of being able to elect to member
of the Board from my Region. " Because i believe that to a person of my
country can also appeals to values that I do not share, while I can have
instead an encounter of values between me and those of one person of a
different country from mine. Then one person that it wants to give to its
contribution to one whichever organization, i believe that in order to
understand all the implications, has the right to see the arguments dealt in
its mother language. For which second me one of the first things that ICANN
would have to make is to realize the translations of the greater amount
possible of material in the greater number possible of languages. Therefore
I would want to make one demanded: I have inasmuch as between the languages
with which he can himself be mailed they lack the German, the Portuguese and
the Italian who is my language, it's possible to add this language?
2) The to hardware/software that the person possesses: for this speech I
think valid how much said from Thomas Ziegler.

P.S.Una greater dissemination and understanding of how much is looked in
Internet, i believe that is interest also of the companies, that they see to
increase the number of the possible customers. Therefore I suggest to give
impulse to the studies on a universal translator.

Quindi ICANN deve cercare il modo per mettere il maggior numero di persone
possibili in grado di comunicare, per fare ciò le difficoltà sono
principalmente di due tipi:
1) La lingua, infatti io a questa domanda:

rispondo che innanzitutto mi aspetto di capire, le idee e i valori che
perseguono i candidati che devo votare.
E sicuramente non rispondo come DPF:
"I would firstly like to retain my existing rights of being able to elect a
member of the Board from my Region."
Perchè credo che a una persona del mio paese possono anche piacere valori
che io non condivido, mentre io posso avere invece un incontro di valori tra
me e quelli di una persona di un paese diverso dal mio.
Poi uno che vuole dare il suo contributo a una qualsiasi organizzazione,
credo che per capire tutte le implicazioni, abbia il diritto a vedere gli
argomenti trattati nella sua lingua madre. Per cui secondo me una delle
prime cose che ICANN dovrebbe fare è realizzare le traduzioni della maggiore
quantità di materiale possibile nel maggior numero di lingue possibili.
Perciò vorrei fare una richiesta: ho visto che tra le lingue con cui si può
postare mancano il tedesco, il portoghese e l'italiano che è la mia lingua,
si può aggiungerle?

ritengo valido quanto detto da Thomas Ziegler.

P.S.Una maggiore diffusione e comprensione di quanto si vede in Internet,
credo che sia interesse anche delle aziende, che vedono aumentare il numero
dei possibili clienti. Perciò suggerisco di dare impulso agli studi su un
traduttore universale.
