Aye, I just don't see corporations as deserving of any special voting
status. They're made of up individuals with common interests so why
their interests cannot be represented through At-Large votes of its
individual members is beyond me. If there are At-Large, DNSO, etc.
picked directors, I predict a high incidence of duplicate voting.
E.g.,
SO member X is also an At-Large member. X votes for both types of
candidates. Seems unfair to me. Even if the SO banned individuals from
voting or candidate recommendations, those individuals who represent the
corporations (CEO, President, etc.) would still be able to exercise both
types of voting... in SO through the guise of the corporation and
through At-Large as an individual.
While I suppose ICANN could simply ban SO members from participating in
At-Large elections and vice versa, it appears silly to partition up
voterdom like that.
