Danny,
I assume you are planning to prepare a Report to accompany the results of
this Straw Poll and will be submitting this to the ALSC on our behalf. If
so, may I say how much I appreciate the effort and suggest an Addendum in
relation to the Board's Executive Committee.

Please note that At Large interests should also have representation on the
Board's Executive Committee, however many AL Directors it is decided there
may be on the Board. The Executive Committee operates with the full powers
of the ICANN Board, meets without the knowledge of the full Board, takes
decisions as if it were the ICANN Board, but consists of only 5 members of
the current Board, plus Stuart Lynn. This is a concern.

Currently, not one member of the Executive Committee has been drawn from the
pool of existing AT Large Directors, in effect, it is bypassing the At Large
interests altogether from Board decisions. Therefore, however many AT Large
Directors members sit on the Board, short of AT Large Directors having all
19 (or however many) seats, the Board can effectively operate without
consideration to any one of them, without the voice of a single AT Large
Director being heard and that is exactly what happened only last week. We
really must insist on At Large representation on the Executive Committee.
