If you really want to be on the board you will most probably run in all
regions. If all else fails, you can always be elected in Africa! .-)

I'm still in favour of the UN model, but since I'm very alone about this, I
will just act in good faith add my two cents on this. I agree with Esther
Dyson. Of course, the regions should be able to choose whatever candidate
they want. One should however have some formal merits of qualifications,
such as beeing a living human beeing. This might sound strange, but has--in
the light of recent years of domain discussions--showed to be necessary.
